Matthew Osmon was born in Flint, Michigan in 1978. He was raised on the south side of Flint and within Flint's not so exciting neighbor, Burton. His studio art practice is focused on drawing and watercolor. Matthew has been the Director of Education for the Flint Institute of Arts since June of 2023.

Matthew earned a BA(2000) in Visual Art and Theater Design from Columbia College Chicago and an MA(2012) in Educational Technology from The University of Michigan-Flint. He also spent some time at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.

 

Matthew resides in Flint, Michigan's west side with his wife Nikki, daughter Ada and hound dog Albus Dennis Dumbledore.
